Responsibilities
Provide support to various Air Traffic Control Centers, TRACONS, Towers, and ATS Headquarters and Regional offices. Support consists of development of site implementation and transition planning for National and Regional, Facilities and Equipment, Capital Investment Plan projects. Support and assist in identifying, analyzing, coordinating, resolving, and reporting the resolution of implementation issues generated by such projects.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of ten years experience as a certified full-performance level Air Traffic Controller (ATC) in either a civilian or military environment. Minimum ten years experience in an operational environment such as an Enroute Air Traffic Control facility, a terminal (TRACON/Tower), or a Flight Service Station (FSS). In certain situations, it may be necessary for task orders to require operational currency for the ATC Specialist(s) being requested due to the nature of the work effort. In those cases operational currency for the senior level ATC Specialist is defined as having actually controlled aircraft within the past five (5) years prior to accepting employment under NISC-II, unless otherwise defined within the individual task order that calls for operational currency. Individual task orders issued will clearly identify those situations where operational currency will be required. Candidate must have FAA staff experience. Must have experience in Quality Assurance Evaluations.
